St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is well equipped to support your child’s learning throughout their primary years.
Classrooms
Our classrooms and specialist teaching areas are thoughtfully resourced. With interactive whiteboards, multiple computers and laptops, iPads, and other digital devices, students are encouraged to integrate traditional learning with modern technologies. Air-conditioning in all learning spaces ensures comfort during Sydney’s warmer months.
Specialist Areas
We offer a range of dedicated learning spaces, including a well-stocked and spacious library, a speech and drama room, and a music room. These areas provide enriching opportunities for creative and expressive learning.
School Hall
Our multi-functional hall has been recently updated with audio-visual equipment and a modern kitchen. It serves as the ideal venue for parent presentations, weekly assemblies, drama recitals, parish events, and is also used for sports, gym sessions, before & after school activities, and our exciting vacation care program.
Play Areas
Our grounds feature several play areas designed to support active and imaginative play.
- The central playground is the heart of morning assemblies, lunch breaks, and free play. It includes child-friendly resurfacing with handball court markings, a soccer court, long jump track, shaded areas, and colourful play equipment. This space also houses a vegetable garden and a recycling centre, with every class contributing to its upkeep.
- The ‘quiet’ playground, located off Denison Street, is shaded by a beautiful, mature tree and offers a peaceful retreat for students.
- The churchyard is sectioned off at certain times of the day to allow for ball games and more energetic play.
- Each week, students also visit Manly Oval and Manly Beach for outdoor learning and recreational activities.
Canteen
Our canteen is located in the Undercroft and operates on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. It offers a variety of delicious meals, snacks, and treats, with seasonal Summer and Winter menus.
The canteen is run by parent volunteers rostered across the term.
