Our Year 6 & 5W students had an incredible day div Our Year 6 & 5W students had an incredible day diving into their Surf Education program at Manly Beach this week. They built confidence in the water while learning essential surf‑safety skills, from understanding rips and reading still-water conditions to practising basic survival techniques and navigating the surf. They wrapped up each session with plenty of fun on foam boards and some enthusiastic body surfing. What a brilliant way to learn and stay safe in our beautiful coastal backyard! #stmarysmanly

What a beautiful start to the year as our Kindy an What a beautiful start to the year as our Kindy and Year 5 students led our first Family Mass of 2026. Father Chima reminded us that Lent invites us to make good choices, listen to the voices in our hearts, and remember that we are always loved by God. A wonderful way to begin a new year together. 💛✝️ #stmarysmanly
Yesterday, our school leaders, students, and staff Yesterday, our school leaders, students, and staff gathered to mark Ash Wednesday, the beginning of our Lenten journey toward Easter. During Mass (Y3-6) and Liturgy (K-Y2), students received the sign of the cross in ashes, a reminder of reflection, renewal, and returning to God. Father Sam led our celebration with a thoughtful and uplifting message, encouraging us to pause, look inward, and focus on the three P’s of Lent, purple, preparation, and penance. #stmarysmanly

It was great to see our students, teachers and families come together under our big tree, a place that reminds us of the strong roots of the St Mary’s community.
