At St Mary’s, we value each child’s creative expression and encourage active participation in Music, Dance, Drama, and Visual Arts.
Visual Arts is often integrated with classroom units, allowing students to deepen their understanding of art through the concepts of artists, artworks, audiences, and the world around them. Learning experiences in both making and appreciating art are delivered through a planned and sequential teaching process.
CSBB Religious Creative Arts Competition
Each year, students at St Mary’s have the opportunity to participate in the Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB) Religious Creative Arts Competition. This highly anticipated event celebrates student creativity, faith, and imagination across five categories: Visual Arts, Dance, Drama, Music, and Short Film. Winning entries are showcased at a special CSBB community event, giving students a chance to share their talents and deepen their understanding of faith in meaningful and artistic ways.
