Student Wellbeing

At St Mary’s Manly, student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. It is a key focus across all areas of school life, shaping our culture and daily interactions.

We are proud to be a Be You school, which highlights the importance of emotional development and supports the growth of each child.

Our behavioural expectations are guided by the Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) framework, which promotes a consistent and supportive approach to student behaviour across the school.

The school’s core values of Honesty, Compassion, Respect, Service, Justice, Hope, and Courage serve as important pillars in our community. These values are celebrated through the St Mary’s Values Award, presented once a term to a student in each class who exemplifies our school values.

Our student leadership teams in Pastoral Care and Mission play an active role in promoting wellbeing across the school, helping to ensure that every member of our community understands its importance and feels supported.
